Italy 1999

I stayed in Italy in September 1999. It was both a part of my Swedish job and a holiday. My colleagues and I, together with our charges, spent two weeks in Toscana, making a few trips in the country. I'm pictured against the Leaning Tower

The famous Leaning Tower in Pisa. As a child, I saw a programme about it on Soviet TV, and I remember how I thought "Shall I ever be there?"

 

A bridge with houses on

That bridge in Florence attracted my attention. Fancy living in one of those houses!

 

I'm pictured against the Colosseum

In Rome's Colosseum. One could walk around it on the tribunes, but not go down to the arena. I think there was some excavating work going on.
