July - December 2002

• Certificates. Swedish-English: school, komvux and birth certificates.
• Mechanical. English-Russian: couplings and hubs, flow monitor for pipes.
• Water Treatment. English-Russian: water treatment for heating and power generation.
• Company's Articles of Association. Swedish-Russian.
• Trademark registration. From English and French into Russian.
• Cable & Pipe Penetrations Sealing (8 - 10 October). Interpreted a three-day training given by a Swedish company, producer of MultiDiameter seals, to the staff of its Russian representation in Moscow. Key topics: product features, EMI (electromagnetic interference) protection, applications in various industries (marine & offshore, telecom, construction, etc.), promotion, company's core values, practical work.
• Car Service Industry. Swedish-English translation of four texts on dealership policies of a major Swedish car manufacturing and sales group (6,800 words).
• Crown Caps Production (16 - 24 July). English <> Russian interpretation at a Russian plant near Moscow which produces caps for breweries: 1) interpreted for an Italian electrician who prepared the start-up of a press (electrical wiring and sensors, mechanical adjustments); 2) interpreted negotiations (sale of equipment).
• Estate Inventory. Swedish-English: estate inventory, death certificate, inheritance tax certificate.

January - June 2002

• Fire Safety. Swedish-Russian: fire safety instructions, check lists.
• Automotive. Swedish-Russian and English-Russian translation about design, function and repair of various car equipment for a Swedish translation agency. Translation was done in a special translation memory program provided by the agency (50,850 words).
• Coloured Flakes (10 April). Interpreted for two Dutch businessmen who were visiting a building exhibition in Moscow and offering their product - coloured flakes for paints.
• Parents Against Drugs. Swedish-Russian translation of three brochures published by an organisation that helps parents of drug addicts. One of the brochures was the regulation of this organisation (13,500 words).
• Russian Orthodox Church. Swedish-Russian translation of several texts dealing with registration of a Russian Orthodox church in Sweden.
• Baltic Environmental Project. English-Russian translation for an organisation that selects environmental projects in the Baltic Sea countries (E. Europe) and finances purchase of Swedish equipment for these projects by means of grants from the Swedish government.
• Armaments. English-Russian: purchase of armaments for the Swedish police and armed forces.
• Surgical Instruments. English and Swedish into Russian: registration and sale of surgery products.
• Certificates. Swedish into Russian: a number certificates, e.g. regarding registration of companies and certificates issued by Skattemyndigheten.
